Players and family members, welcome to the 2010 season of Sunnyvale Cupertino PONY Baseball!

As a player in our league, you are part of a fine, nation-wide organization. The PONY in PONY Baseball stands for Protect Our Nations’ Youth and the PONY Baseball program is designed to provide experiences in youth baseball and softball to help your development. The PONY Baseball organization started in 1951 in Pennsylvania and has graduated over 800 players into baseball’s major leagues.

Similar to last season, we will provide a high caliber of baseball for our players by interlocking with other local PONY leagues in a full schedule of PONY division regular season games. Unlike last season, players 12 years old on 30 April 2010 are eligible to play on our teams. We’ll have coaches experienced in coaching baseball skills that know many of our players from previous campaigns. Our home games will be played at Raynor PONY field and our games will be umpired by the very capable members of the Santa Clara Valley Federation of Umpires. We’ll cap off our season playing in PONY Baseball’s West Zone NorCal Central Section All Star Tournament.

Registration for our 2010 season is open from 5 December thru 8 January for players with birthdates in the range 1 May 1995 thru 30 April 1998. To complete registration, fill-out the registration form on this website, include copies of two recent utility bills and a birth certificate, include payment for registration and uniform deposit and either bring your completed registration packet to one of our two walk-in registrations or drop it off or mail it to the address on the registration form for delivery by 8 January. Our walk-in registrations are:

      Saturday, 12 December, 1 pm to 2:30 pm at Raynor PONY field
      Tuesday, 5 January, 3 pm to 4:30 pm at Raynor PONY field

Try-outs will be at 10 am on Saturday, 9 January, at Braly Park. Try-outs are mandatory for all players. We’ll need the signed medical waiver (see the registration form on this website) either included in your registration packet or turned in at the start of tryouts. Players will be notified by team managers by 14 January.
